in more than 6,500 cities across the United States and Canada. We also
maintain an extensive library of published surveys and conduct a bi-annual
survey of Tennessee counties and municipalities.
Salary Survey Design and
Administration:
Burris, Thompson & Associates can serve your salary
survey needs, whether for a handful of jobs or a comprehensive cross section
of jobs. Our surveys follow World at
Work (formerly ACA) Guidelines.
- Benchmark Jobs and Survey Design
- Burris, Thompson & Associates will develop a survey instrument
incorporating selected benchmark jobs. As appropriate, additional items
soliciting data on employee benefits and employment practices can be
included.
- Benchmark Employers - We work
closely with clients in determining an appropriate set of benchmark
employers based on industry, demographics, and labor market proximity.
- Survey Administration - Burris
Thompson & Associates will administer the survey; most surveys are now
conducted via e-mail. To ensure valid data, we make follow-up contacts
of survey participants to resolve any inconsistencies in the data that
may indicate inappropriate job matches or errors.
- Data Compilation - Burris,
Thompson & Associates will compile the survey results and generate
descriptive statistics, with data sorted by various respondent
parameters as appropriate.
