Mr. Burris has more than 30 years of practical and consulting experience and has served in compensation and benefit management positions for several Fortune 500 companies, including Ball Corporation and Federal Express. Mr. Burris has been in the compensation field since 1976. Mr. Burris has provided consulting services related to pay system design, skill based pay, performance management, individual and team based incentives, and manpower planning to a variety of manufacturing, service, and governmental organizations. He is known and respected nationally as a compensation professional and has served as a member of the national board of directors for the American Compensation Association (ACA), Regional ACA President, national ACA Workshop presenter, and the president of the Middle Tennessee Compensation Association. Mr. Burris is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), a member of the ACA faculty for certification, and a Senior Instructor for CCP courses throughout the country. Education: BS Education – Indiana State University MBA – Wichita State University Mr. Steven (Steve) Thompson, Vice President, Consulting Services Mr. Thompson has more than 30 years of practical and consulting experience in the compensation field. He has held compensation management positions with Melvin Simon and Associates, Inc. (real estate development and property management) and Dollar General Corporation (retail). As a member of the management services arm of a regional public accounting firm and, more recently, with Burris and Associates, Mr. Thompson has provided consulting services related to many aspects of human resources management to a variety of service, manufacturing, and non-profit organizations. Mr. Thompson is a member of the World at Work and MTSHRM. Mr. Thompson brings expertise in pay system design, job evaluation, talent management, incentive pay, and employment law compliance.
